The Highway 3 consists of his twin sisters, Olivia on bass guitar and vocals, Maria on drums and vocals, and his dad, Chris, on rhythm guitar, piano and lead vocals.
CW and Chris were original members and starters of The Tumbleweed Band. CW played drums along with guitar and violin. He played in The Tumbleweed Band for 4 1/2 years, from 7 years old to 11. He played almost weekly anywhere from 1 to 3 nights per week. In the last year of The Tumbleweed Band he wanted more and more to play guitar and less drums, and eventually The Tumbleweed Band disbanded.
CW and his dad started in the spring of 2006 working with Olivia and Maria until eventually the group learned enough songs to play for 1 to 2 hours. CW Von Arx & the Highway 3 started playing on hour shows in the nursing homes. Eventually they got two hours of material and now play at bars, private parties and shows in schools around the area.
The band is 100% family, very unique, and fun to watch. They do rockabilly music from Johnny Cash, Buddy Holly, Waylon Jennings, Elvis Presley, Stray Cats and more.
